Exhaust Ball Condensation Blocker

Protect Your Engine from the Inside Out

Even after shutdown, your engine remains vulnerable. While the exhaust system cools quickly, the top end of your engine stays warm—creating a chimney effect that draws humid air up the tailpipe like a straw. Whether your aircraft is tied down outside or stored in a hangar, that moisture can lead to internal corrosion long before your next flight.

Contrary to popular belief, flying more often doesn’t necessarily prevent engine corrosion. In fact, frequent flying can actually contribute to it—especially in training aircraft.

This is due to a process called thermo-siphoning, where humid air is drawn up through the tailpipe as the engine cools down. Even if you’re flying regularly, this moisture can settle inside the engine during downtime—particularly overnight—allowing corrosive elements to take hold.

Pilots are often surprised to discover rust and corrosion in engines that are flown daily. But if the aircraft sits for several days between flights (like before the next $100 hamburger run), there’s even more time for that moisture to do damage.

It’s a key reason why trainer aircraft, which are flown frequently but often sit overnight, tend to experience more corrosion than weekend flyers

The Exhaust Ball is a simple but powerful tool to fight back.

Designed for General Aviation, Trusted by Fleet Operators
The patented 3G Exhaust Ball seals your tailpipe and actively protects your engine with an internal desiccant pack that absorbs moisture inside the exhaust system. It’s an easy way to extend engine life and keep your aircraft corrosion-free.

Made in the USA and with the same materials as used by NASA, NASCAR, and the United States military. High heat resistant and strong.

Includes a “Remove Before Flight” tag so you do not forget it during pre-flight.

Why It Matters:

– Just 1 square foot can release up to 1.2 cups of water vapor in 12 hours

– The tailpipe is a direct pathway for that moisture into your engine

– The 3G Exhaust Ball blocks and absorbs moisture before it does damage

– Ideal for piston engines—single aircraft or fleets

– Works on the ramp or in the hangar

Available for the Cessna 172 (Fits 3” tailpipes) and Piper PA28’s (Fits 2” tailpipes), Cirrus G6T-G7T (Fits 2.7” tailpipes), Diamond DA40 (Fits 1.90” tailpipes).
