PJ2 GPS Radio

The ultimate peace of mind

The new PJ2 GPS stays true to Sporty’s legacy of aviation-only, made-for-backup radios, now enhanced with more pilot-friendly features. While loaded with advanced capabilities like GPS, Bluetooth audio, and an intercom, its design remains remarkably simple, making it the perfect companion for any emergency situation.

The PJ2 GPS sets the bar even higher for what a handheld aviation radio can do. Designed for pilots who demand reliability and advanced features, the PJ2 GPS is the perfect addition to any flight bag. The PJ2 Radios are the only radios to feature standard aviation jacks on the top of the radio, removing the need to have cumbersome adapters for headset operations. Even better, it can now send GPS position data straight to ForeFlight, giving you a simple backup navigation option in the app you already use—even if your iPad doesn’t have a built-in GPS. Integrated GPS Capability

The PJ2 GPS includes built-in GPS functionality, providing essential GPS-driven data. Ground speed, altitude, track, and simplified waypoint navigation provides exactly what you need in an emergency situation. While it does not include an airport database or moving map, the PJ2 GPS can be programmed with 100 user waypoints for quick navigation.

Bluetooth Audio

Enjoy crystal-clear audio in your Bluetooth-enabled headset for wireless communication. Alternatively, you can connect a pair of wireless earbuds (not included)
for walking around an airshow while listening to the performers.

Rechargeable Battery

Power when you need it. The PJ2 GPS comes with a long-lasting rechargeable battery, ensuring your radio is always ready for action. The battery is rechargeable via the USB Type-C port on the side of the radio. This port is very common on modern phones and tablets, meaning you don’t need to find a special charging cable to keep the PJ2 GPS topped off.
